A low viscosity hyperbranched polyether epoxy resin(HBTE)was synthesized by A2+B3 method, and its chemi-cal structure and molecular weight were characterized by FT-IR,1H-NMR and GPC.The waterborne epoxy emulsions were prepared by adding HBTE to the E51/RE225 emulsion system, and compounded with waterborne amine curing agents and fillers to form waterborne epoxy floor coatings. The experimental results showed that the addition of HBTE could reduce the viscosity of the emulsion system and the particle size of emulsions. When the mass fraction of added HBTE was 5%,the im-pact resistance, flexibility, wear resistance, and chemical resistance of coatings were all improved, and the Shore hardness and abrasion of the coatings were 84 D and 19.03 mg,respectively.
