Preparation of cinnamaldehyde residue modified phenolic resin and its application in coating
The cinnamaldehyde residue contains aldehydes such as cinnamaldehyde and benzaldehyde, which is used as modifier to participate in the synthesis of phenolic resin, and the resin is used for surface coating. It is a new way of waste reduction and resource utilization, and also provides a new scheme for the field of surface protection of zinc coated sheet. In this paper, the phenolic resin was prepared using phenol and paraformaldehyde as materials with different mass fractions of cinnamaldehyde residue to participate in the synthesis of resin. The solid content, residual carbon rate, free aldehyde and other performance indexes of the product were analyzed, and the structure and thermodynamic properties of the product were revealed by infrared spectrum and thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that the structure of modified pheno-lic resin(CPF)contained the aromatic aldehyde structure of cinnamic aldehyde residue.Compared with PFR,the tempera-ture of 20%weight loss(T20%)of CPF was increased from 451 ℃ to 494 ℃,the temperature of maximum weight loss rate was increased from 525 ℃ to 548 ℃,and the residual carbon rate at 800 ℃ was increased by 6.3%.The SEM analysis showed that the coating with 5wt%residue exhibited a smooth and crack-free surface morphology. The electrochemical test results showed that the low frequency impedance of the coating was better than that of the phenolic resin coating.
