The Effect of Rolling Fluid on Black Stains of Cold-Rolled Sheet Coils
Cold-rolled sheet coils are widely used due to their excellent surface finish, good flatness, high dimensional ac-curacy,and superior mechanical properties.During the production process, cold rolling fluids are used as process lubricants to provide lubrication, cooling, cleaning, and rust prevention functions. However, improper selection or maintenance of roll-ing fluids can lead to surface defects on cold-rolled steel coils, such as poor flatness, low surface reflectivity, color differ-ences,mud spots, black stains, and post-annealing dirt, with black stains being a particularly challenging issue for steel enterprises. The paper focuses on the study of black stain problems that occur on cold-rolled sheet coils during rolling and annealing processes. It analyzes the causes of black stain formation from the aspects of rolling process, lubricant selection, and maintenance, and proposes treatment strategies to address surface black stains issues encountered during the rolling process.
