Study on Performance of Engine Oils for Heavy Oil Two-Stroke UAVs
This paper preliminarily identifies the performance characteristics of oil products based on the operating conditions of heavy oil two-stroke UAV engines and the comparison between the heavy oil two-stroke UAV engine and conventional small two-stroke engine. The performance evaluation results of lubricating oil for UAV engines show that FD and TC-W3 oils exhibit severe carbon buildup in the combustion chamber compared to dedicated oils, failing to meet the lubrication needs of UAVs.Structural and elemental analyses of the dedicated oil and carbon deposits were conducted using infrared spectroscopy and electron microscopy, identifying the possible composition of the dedicated oil.Recommendations for the development of dedicated oil are provided to expedite the localization process.
