This study employs a controlled variable method to explore factors influencing the particle size of lubricating oil.By comparing the effects of exposure time of oil samples to air,oil sample temperature, settling time, and system pressure on particle size test results,it was found that the longer the oil sample was exposed to air,the greater the number of parti-cles and the more severe the oil sample contamination.Controlling a single variable,as temperature, pressure, and settling time increase, the particle size test results initially rise to a certain level before stabilizing.Monitoring particle size in lubrica-ting oil is crucial for protecting generator units, predicting faults, assessing oil contamination levels, and improving engine performance and economical efficiency.
