Parallel Performance Analysis for A Domestic Industry-Level Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)Software
Based on the National Numerical Wind Tunnel Engineering Project,NNW-FlowStar is an industrial general-purpose unstructured computational fluid dynamics software.It incorporates a diverse range of numerical models and intricate functional modules,and it has been widely applied in the aerospace and other relevant fields.With the advancement of high-performance computer architectures,optimizing large-scale industrial-grade CFD software such as FlowStar on HPC systems has become increasingly challenging on HPC systems.Leveraging typical HPC platform,this work conducts in-depth testing and analysis through the approach of the computation,communication,and memory access characteristics.It helps researchers to understand the performance characteristics of complex CFD software on HPC systems deeply and provids recommendations and references for future futher parallel computing and performance optimization of FlowStar.This study serves as a reference for parallel computing and performance optimization in other non-structured CFD software and can also contribute to the integration and development of HPC and CFD.
