The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence has brought new changes to the production of historical knowledge and the way historians work.Some people believe that artificial intelligence will promote the explosive production of creative content and bring supply-side freedom of smart products;but the spread of generative artificial intelligence is likely to worsen the overall ecology of history documenting.The specialization of history is a product of the Industrial Revolution,and at present,history documenting as a profession can no longer adapt to the arrival of the era of artificial intelligence.Some historians worry that their work will be replaced by artificial intelligence,ignoring the special nature of historical knowledge production activities.In the era of artificial intelligence,the documenting of history needs the historiography workers to return to their original aspirations and fully emphasize the essence of historiography thinking exercise and the pursuit of truth,instead of seeing it as a means of making a living,which would be more conducive to creating authentic historical research results.
