Characterization,care and cleaning of pre-pubertal acne
Characteristics of prepubertal acne,treatments,and cleaning and skincare tools associated with the treatment of usual acne are described.The physiologic features of prepubertal acne are reviewed and the corresponding treatments are summarized.A review of non-pharmacologic management of prepubertal acne,including cleaning,skincare,and sun protection,is emphasized.The importance of introducing the right cleaning,skincare and sunscreen products is emphasized.The results show that a holistic acne combination treatment plan using low-dose medications with a four-step cleaning,treatment,moisturizing and sun protection regimen is widely accepted,as compared to the purely pharmacological treatments.Finally,a summary of the precautions to be taken in the treatment of prepubertal acne in children is presented.
