Analysis of female Futou in sacred paintings of Ming Dynasty
The Ming Dynasty sacred paintings are rich in figures,in which the heads of the women around the masters have attracted the attention of the author Based on the existing Ming Dynasty sacred painting images,this paper classifies the female head shape and explores the origin and development of various types of head powder.Based on the further analysis of the Ruyi cloud-shaped head and phoenix-winged head in Ming Dynasty sacred paintings,it is found that the female head in Ming Dynasty sacred paintings may have originated from the dress of the palace's folk music attendants in the Five Dynasties and the Liao and Jin dynasties,the Ming Dynasty carried on the innovation development on this foundation.
