Cause and preventive measure of mildew in knitted fabrics composed of polyester fiber/polyurethane fiber
Knitted fabrics made of polyester fiber and polyurethane fiber are typically resistant to molding.Howev-er,some textiles become vulnerable to molding in warm and humid environments after undergoing chemical finishing dur-ing production.Mildew affects the use and appearance of fabrics and poses a threat to health. To prevent mold growth,mea-sures should be taken to either stop its transmission or cut off its reproduction. It's advisable to avoid or minimize the use of textile chemicals such as those containing organic phosphine during the dyeing and finishing process of polyester-poly-urethane fabrics. This helps to keep the finished products clean and dry, improving the mildew resistance of fabrics.
