To reveal the spatial morphological distribution of the dressing ease allowance of human waist-abdomen-hip and improve the fit of trousers,a method was proposed to generate trouser pattern based on the mathematical model of the distribution of human dressing ease allowance.Firstly,the scanned data of the human platform in two states before and after dressing was obtain by a 3D scanner.The coordinate system was reconstructed with the center of mass of the hip cir-cumference as the origin and superimposed on the human platform and clothing model.The spatial morphological distribu-tion of the dressing ease was obtained by intercepting 10 cross-sections of the waist-abdomen-hip and extracting the fea-ture points at 5° intervals,and calculating the ease for each section.The mathematical model of the ease allowance was es-tablished by Gaussian distribution function,and the generation of the trouser pattern based on the distribution of the hu-man clothing ease allowance was realized by constructing the trouser model and surface spreading.The results show that the R2 values of the fitted curves of the ease allowance of each characteristic section are above 0.95,and the established mathematical model is reliable and effective.The physical verification shows that the trouser pattern generated based on the ease allowance is more consistent with the changes of the longitudinal surface morphology of the human waist,abdomen and hip.
