Reproducing the Xia,Shang,and Zhou Dynasties:On the Age and Decoration of the"Chengyu Fou"Bronze Ware in the Old Collection of the Qing Dynasty Palace
This article,through a comprehensive comparison of the same inscriptions,reexamines the age of the Han Dynasty antique bronze ware"Chengyu Fou",which was originally stored in the Qing Palace.It is believed that it belongs to the middle period of the Western Han Dynasty,especially in the early days of Emperor Wu.Based on its strong imitation of the three dynasties of decoration,combined with social background,it is comprehensively judged that its antique connotation and nature do not have political significance,but only to satisfy personal preferences.
