Public Service Research from the Perspective of Design:Focusing on Value Co-creation,Technological Empowerment,and Innovative Design Methodologies
Over the past decade,design has become a critical means for driving innovation in public services.This paper analyzes the focal points in the field of public service research,elucidates the development trajectory of public services,aids designers in gaining a better understanding of the distinctiveness of public services,and explores public service design.The study finds that research in the public service domain primarily focuses on three aspects:the logic of public ser-vices,the design of public services,and the innovation of public services.Issues related to value,digitization,digital technology,design methodologies,and inter-disciplinary thinking all have an impact on research in public services.A thorough analysis of the research hotspots and emerging topics in the public service field can assist design scholars in better comprehending the needs of public services and in enhancing the quality and efficiency of public services.
