Art,Politics and Ceremony:Re-Exploring the Dissemination and Social Function of Ancient"Silkworm Farming and Weaving"Images
"Silkworm farming and weaving"images refer to the graphics and images involving the activities of silkworm farming and weaving.In ancient Chi-nese history,such images mainly existed in the field of arts and crafts and painting.This article takes the historical background of the birth and audience of the three types of painting themes involved in the"silkworm farming and weaving"images in the Song Dynasty,"Bin area's customs","Farming and weaving"and"Silk-worm farming and weaving"as the starting point,and rethinks the views on the social function of such images in previous research in this field.The article analyzes the role of different audience groups of the"silkworm farming and weaving"image in the dissemination of the image,paying special attention to the connection between their role and their social division of labor,to sort out the complete dissemination chain of the image between different social classes,and discusses the significance of this dissemination chain to the governance of ancient Chinese agricultural society.
