This paper starts with the planning concept of"The Splendid Colors:Chinese Costume Culture Exhibition"and focuses on showcasing the phase achievements of the"Material Culture Rescue Research"project from the perspective of constructing an emerging interdisciplinary platform for"Fashion."By introducing the content of four units in the exhibition:ethnic Costume,Costume preservation,Costume restoration,and Costume innovation,it analyzes how the exhibition reveals the diversity and commonality of Chinese dress culture from five aspects:deep excavation of historical culture,inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage skills,integration of modern technology and traditional crafts,interdisciplinary research perspectives,and dialogue between tradi-tion and fashion.Furthermore,it demonstrates the multi-dimensional perspective and practical application of interdisciplinary methodology in material culture rescue research,making a positive contribution to the protection,inheritance,and promotion of traditional Chinese dress culture.
