Design Leadership:A New Dimension of Design Management Research
In the context of constantly changing business models and high uncertainty,design has emerged as a key factor in enabling enterprises to distin-guish themselves amidst fierce competition,with its growing significance.Design management,as a strategic driver,has attracted much attention.However,com-pared with design management,research on design leadership is still in its infancy and has not been fully explored and studied.This paper analyzes the relevant research on design management and design leadership through the study of the theory source and development and clarifies the different focuses of design man-agement and design leadership.Based on this,design leadership is defined and its constituent elements are proposed.
