A Comparative Study of Public Art Construction Mechanisms in China and Abroad within the Urban Renewal Context
Public art,a significant carrier of urban culture,has attracted worldwide attention regarding its construction mechanisms.Due to differences in historical backgrounds,cultural distinctions,levels of economic development,and political systems,mechanisms for public art construction in China and abroad exhibit diverse characteristics in practice.Against the backdrop of implementing the urban renewal strategy in China,this paper analyzes and compares the current development status and distinctive features of public art construction mechanisms from the perspectives,such as management bodies and policies,funding and sponsorship,work collection and evaluation,and implementation and maintenance.This holds substantial value and significance in enhancing China's public art construction management,promoting the sustainable and healthy development of public art,and empowering the urban renewal strategy.
