Research on Constructing Strategies for High-quality Development of Age-friendly Designs Based on the Cyber-Physics-Society Systems
The development of the silver economy requires support from high-quality age-friendly designs.Drawing upon the Cyber-Physics-Society System framework and utilizing data from the China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey(CLASS),this study explores, from multiple dimensions, the theoretical model for fostering high-quality development of age-friendly designs. It proposes that aging-friendly design should be guided by the"four boards"approach of making up shortcomings, lengthening versions, polishing standard versions, and pasting boards. That is,from the perspectives of industry, users, and products,shortcom-ings should be made up.The characteristics of socialization, low cost, intelligence, and emotionalization should be used to build China's design style internationally. The focus should be on improving product design capabilities from the perspectives of safety, ease of use,and usability. The design quality should be improved by replacing old, cold, and disabled labels with beautiful, natural, and fashionable ones to further enrich the elderly product market and contribute to the development of the silver economy. Finally, guided by the theoretical model above,a design practice was conducted with elderly people living alone as the target users.
