Study on artificial breeding techniques of two rare psammophytes Ephedra sinica Stapf and Agropyron mongolicum Keng
E.sinica and A.mongolicum are key protected wild plants in our country,However, due to the low germination rate and habitat destruction, the population number decreased. In order to protect and improve the number of the two rare plants, the seed breeding technology of the two rare plants was studied through laboratory experiments. The results showed that different growth hormones had different effects on seed germination of E.sinica and A.mongolicuma.30mg/L IAA treatment could significantly promote seed germination of E.sinica.Both 6-BA and GA3 concentrations above 10mg/L significantly inhibited seed germination and viability of E.sinicaand.Similar-ly,GA3 concentration higher than 100mg/L could inhibit the germination of A.mongolicum seeds,20mg/L cytokinin could promote the germination of A.mongolicum seeds,40mg/L IAA could significantly improve the germination rate of A.mongolicum seeds.DMSO soa-king for 10min had no effect on seed germination. After soaking for 20min,1%DMSO had the best promoting effect. When soaked for 30min,0.5%concentration has the best effect. Therefore, the use of 30mg/L and 40mg/L IAA is conducive to the germination of E.sin-ica and A.mongolicum, respectively, and improves the seed vitality.Meanwhile,0.5%DMSO soaked for 30min is more suitable for the germination treatment of A.mongolicum.
