Difference analysis of photosynthetic pigments and anthocyanin content in two elephant grasses
In order to explore the difference of photosynthetic pigments and anthocyanin content in two elephant grasses,in this study, green leaf elephant grass(GXC)and purple leaf elephant grass(PXC)were used as research materials, and used spectrophotometry to determine the photosynthetic pigments and anthocyanin content in the vegetative stage of elephant grasses. The results showed that:the Chla and Chlb content in PXC leaves were significantly higher than that in GXC leaves, and its Car content was 11.06%higher than that in GXC leaves. The content of anthocyanin in different parts of PXC and GXC was all the same trend:leaves>Leaf sheath>bark. Moreover, the anthocyanin content in same parts of them was that of PXC significantly higher than that of GXC.This study can provide a theoretical basis for the breeding of new varieties of forage elephant grass and the processing of health special feed.
