The implications of the grassland agroecosystems theory for production utilization in the alpine grassland of Northwestern Sichuan
Sichuan possesses extensive grassland resources, primarily distributed in the ecologically fragile high-cold regions of northwestern Sichuan. This paper investigates the guiding role of the four production layers within the theory of grassland agroecosystems in the production and utilization of alpine grasslands in northwestern Sichuan, while considering the ecological systems'realities and the eco-nomic demands of agricultural and pastoral production. It elaborates on the scientific utilization of alpine grasslands and outlines the path-ways for high-quality development corresponding to the four production layers within the theory of grassland agroecosystems in northwestern Sichuan. This is conducive to the transformation of the traditional livestock production structure towards modern intensive livestock farming and emerging industries in Sichuan, thereby achieving sustainable development in the production and utilization of alpine grasslands.
