Species Diversity and Faunaistic Characteristics of Butterflies in Wuyunjie National Nature Reserve, Hunan Province
Line transect surveys on the species diversity of butterflies were conducted from June 2008 to September 2010 in Wuyunjie National Nature Reserve (WNNR) , Changde city, Hunan province. As results, a total of 147 species of butterflies belonging to 94 genera in 10 families were recorded in this reserve, in which 4 nationally endangered species (Age-hana elwesi, Luehdorfia chinensis, Stichophthalma howqua, Bibasis miracula) and 3 new recorded species from Hunan province ( Pazala alebion, Delias pasithoe, Neptis thestias ) were included;Number of species in Nymphalidae was more than other family;family diversity index of Hesperiidae and genera diversity index of Papilio were the highest;Eurema hecabe is the dominant populations in the reserve. The main fauna elements in this region are oriental.
