Preliminary Investigation on Fauna of Urostylidae from Southern Gansu Province ( Hemiptera: Urostylidae)
This paper records on urostylid bugs collected in South of Gansu province from 2007 to 2010. A total of 3 genera 20 species were identified. Among them, East Asia distributing type is in the majority, accounting for approximately 2/3 of all species; oriental distributing type accounts for 1/4 of all species; the Palaearctic distributing type is the least type, accounting for only 1/10 of all species. This result indicates that fauna in south Gansu presents a strong East Asia feature and reflected the geography characteristics of central and midwest China, which is the origin of East Asia fanuna characterizing Chinese instinctive feature in biography and geography. 7 new species were identified for Cansu province. They are viz; Tes-saromerus licenti Yang, Urochela distincta Distant, Urochela fallow Reuter, Urochela rubra Yang, Uroechla punctata Hsiao et Ching, Urostylis genevae Maa and Urostylis striicornis Scott.
