A Preliminary Survey of Insect Resources from the Chengdu Area of Giant Panda National Park
From June to November 2022,a preliminary survey of insect resources was carried out in the Chengdu area of Giant Panda National Park.A total of 1 214 insects were collected and identified as 424 species belonging to 95 families and 13 orders.Lepidoptera was dominated in the composition of insect groups, followed by Coleoptera and Hemiptera,ac-counting for 58.96%,17.45%and 6.37%,respectively.Two species of class Ⅱ nationally key protected insects(Bhuta-nitis thaidina and Teinopalpus imperialis),and two species of national hazardous forestry pest(Anoplophora chinensis and Batocera horsfieldi)were found. The result of insect diversity analysis among the three habitat types showed that secondary forest had the highest Shannon-Wiener diversity index and richness index(6.63 and 29.62),followed by planted forest(6.53 and 22.48)and residential farmland(6.12 and 19.84).Residential farmland had the highest dominance index(0.07),followed by secondary forest(0.06)and planted forest(0.04).Planted forest had the highest evenness index(0.94),follwed by residential farmland(0.91)and secondary forest(0.88).This study enriches the basic data of insect resources in the Chengdu Area of Giant Panda National Park, and provides a basis for biodiversity protection, assessment and pest control.
