A New Species of Genus Dactylogyroides(Monogenea:Dactylogyridae)Parasiticzing Osteochilus repang
In this study,a new species of Dactylogyroides parasitized on the gills of Osteochilus repang(105°2'85″E,24°9'53″N)in Wanfeng Lake Basin of Nanpanjiang River,Yunnan Province, was named after the host fish:D.osteochilus sp.nov.It was described and named by means of integrated taxonomic research, combining morphological characteristics and genetic characteristics of 28S rDNA sequence. The new species has a pair of central hooks, with hooks pointing at each other,7 pairs of marginal hooks, and 1 lamellar connecting piece divided into equal halves. The copulatory tube of the male copulatory complex is tubular with expanded end.The base of the support accessory piece is sheet-like with a small hole in the middle.Dactylogyroides osteochilus sp.nov.is significantly different from the recorded species of genus Dacty-logyroides in connecting piece and copulatory complex morphology.Based on the 28S rDNA sequence, the intragenus ge-netic distances among Dactylogyroides ranged from 0.052 to 0.175,and the genetic distance of the new species with D.tripathii(JX993982)and D.dorsalis were 0.076 and 0.175,respectively.In addition, the phylogenetic tree(BI)constructed based on 28S rDNA showed that the new species was clustered into a clade with Dactylogyroides, which is a close sister group to Dactylogyrus.Dactylogyroides osteochilus sp.nov.is the second new Dactylogyroides species recorded in China, and thus this study enriches the catalogs of Monogenea in China and provides new scientific data for the molecu-lar phylogeny of the genus Dactylogyroides.
