Study on Geographical Distribution Pattern of Chinese Chiroptera
The physical environment of China is diverse, and thus provides plentiful habitats for the survival of mammals.Chiroptera(bats)constitute approximately 20%of the mammalian species with abundant species diversity, complex habitats and wide distribution. In this study, the geographic distribution map of Chinese Chiroptera was drawn by the ArcGIS soft-ware,the species resources and geographical distribution pattern of Chinese Chiroptera were analyzed and summarized, and the factors affecting the geographic distribution pattern of Chiroptera were explored. The results showed that the geographical distribution pattern of Chinese Chiroptera could be divided into 5 distribution patterns and 11 distribution subtypes.Heng-duan Mountains in the northwest of Yunnan and the southeast of Xizang had the highest species richness of Chinese Chirop-tera,serving as a major distribution center for Chiroptera in the country.Longnan Mountains-Qinba Mountains, the Sichuan Basin-Yungui Plateau, and the eastern mountains were the three secondary distribution centers.Four small tertiary distribu-tion centers were formed by the Taiqiong Island,Tianshan area, the northeastern area, and the Taihang Mountains. The geo-graphic distribution pattern, fauna characteristics and influencing factors of Chinese Chiroptera were discussed to provide ba-sic data for the subsequent conservation and management of Chiroptera species resources and in-depth research in the future.
