Mitochondrial transplantation of osteoblasts promotes proliferation, migration and osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell in vitro
To explore the effect of mitochondrial transplantation of osteoblasts(OBs)on osteogenic differen-tiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs),this study artificially extracted BMSCs mitochon-dria and OBs mitochondria in vitro and transplanted them into recipient BMSCs respectively. The experimen-tal results showed that BMSCs receiving osteoblast mitochondria showed significantly enhanced proliferation,migration,anti-apoptosis and osteogenesis. In addition, the level of intracellular ROS in BMSCs receiving os-teoblast mitochondria decreased, the rate of oxygen consumption increased, and ATP production increased. These results indicated that:(1)Mitochondrial transfer can enhance the function of BMSC in vitro and pro-mote its osteogenic differentiation;(2)Compared with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell mitochondria, recipient BMSCs receiving osteoblast mitochondrial transplantation may have stronger aerobic metabolic ca-pacity and osteogenic differentiation ability, which is expected to provide a candidate method for bone growth and bone injury repair.
