Effects of feeding vitamin nanoemulsion supplementation during brooding period on growth performance of laying hens
This experiment aims to investigate the continuous effects of supplementing a composite vitamin nanoemulsion on growth performance and bone development during both the brooding stage(1~42 days)and grower period(42~84 days)of laying hens.A total of 192(1-day-old)laying hens were selected and ran-domly divided into 4 experimental groups, with each group having three replicates and 16 chickens per repli-cate.The chickens in the experimental groups were fed basal diet(control),basal diet diluted 6250 times with vitamin nanoemulsion(low-dose group),basal diet diluted 5555 times with vitamin nanoemulsion(medium-dose group),and basal diet diluted 5000 times with vitamin nanoemulsion(high-dose group). The results showed that during the brooding stage, the average daily weight gain of the medium-dose group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).During the rearing stage, the average daily weight gain of both the medium and the high-dose groups was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Further,it was observed that during the brooding period, the calcium content in the tibia and the phosphorus content in the femur increased significantly in the high-dose group(P<0.05).The weight, defatted weight, and phosphorus content of the metatarsus in the high-dose group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The semi-clean evisceration rate and full clean evisceration rate were significantly increased in the low-dose,medium-dose,and high-dose groups(P<0.05).The dehy-dration rates of the chest and leg muscles were significantly lower in the medium-dose and high-dose groups compared to the control group(P<0.05).The pH value of the leg muscles in the high-dose group was sig-nificantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),whereas the redness of the chest muscles in the low-dose group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Taken together, the addi-tion of complex vitamin nanoemulsion during the brooding stage can promote the growth, slaughter perfor-mance and skeletal development of laying hens, and have broad application prospects in poultry farming.
