Wavelet Transform and Anomaly Extraction for the Gas Mercury Observation Data at the Tengchong station,Yunnan Province
We selected the gas mercury observation data at No.2 well of the Tengchong station from November 1,2018 to November 1,2023 and processed the db4 wavelet with the scale of 4.Furthermore,the low-frequency and high-frequency components in the data were separated and extracted from the short-term and imminent anomaly information in the gas mercury data prior to the 9 moderate strong earthquakes around the measurement point. We found that some extent precursor anomalies were shown in the gas mercury data prior to the occurrence of a moderately strong earthquakes within the range of about 150 km around the Tengchong station measurement point;the wavelet transform can be effectively separated in the low-frequency and high-frequency components in the gas mercury observation data, which is helpful to extract the seismic precursory anomaly information in the signal.
