Strength Anisotropy Characteristics of SchistoseFabric Rocks in MuhuiArea,Yajiang County
Affected by regional metamorphism and later magmatic activity, the metamorphic sandstone group in the Muhui area of Yajiang is mainly lithologic, phyllite, schist and gneiss, and the schistose-column minerals are oriented and have typical anisotropic characteristics. In this paper, the anisotropy and corresponding strength characteristics of rocks are studied based on thin section identification and uniaxial compression test. The results show that the metamorphic sandstone formed by low temperature metamorphism in this area, then further metamorphized into phyllite, schist and gneiss by late magmatic intrusion contact metamorphism. The mineral composition is quartz, feldspar, pyroxene, hornblende and mica.Affected by the content of schistose and columnar minerals, the uniaxial compressive strength of the rock is different from that of the vertical foliation, and the anisotropy is strong.Considering the influence coefficient of schistose mineral, columnar mineral and reforming effect, the calculation formula of anisotropy coefficient is presented. The results have some guiding significance for understanding the anisotropy of the strength of sheet fabric rock and the value of rock strength parameters.
