Remote Sensing Geological Characteristics and Metallogenic Prediction in Tuoba Area,Tibet
The Tuoba area is located in the south of Yulong porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit in eastern Tibet.Compared with the Yulong metallogenic belt, the geological work in this area is relatively lagging behind. In order to better serve the construction of Sichuan-Tibet railway, further expand the prospecting potential of this area, discover new prospecting clues, and carry out the investigation of copper polymetallic deposits related to Cenozoic porphyry,a 1∶50,000 regional geological survey has been deployed here. The lithology and structure in the study area were interpreted by using GF2 remote sensing images, the remote-sensing interpretation indicators were established to guide the 1∶50,000 mapping work, and the altered mineral anomaly information was extracted by using ASTER remote sensing data.Combined with the study of typical deposits and the comparison of metallogenic geological background, and followed the metallogenic prediction basis of strata, magmatic rocks, structures, alterations and remote sensing anomalies, three favorable copper polymetallic prospecting areas(Z-1,Z-2,Z-3)have been delineated.Based on field verification in the favorable area of Z-2 prospecting,it shows good characteristics of copper polymetallic mineralization alteration, which indicates that the remote sensing method in this area is effective in guiding the ore transfer work.
