The Fault Characteristics of the East Branch of Anning River Revealed by Shallow Seismic Exploration and Borehole Exploration
The existing data have confirmed that the east branch of Anning river fault is a concealed fault. In order to explore its location and analyze its activity, two shallow exploration sections with high braid rate have been completed across the fault.Based on the results of shallow seismic exploration, boreholeswere arranged on both sides of the fault.Based on the shallow seismic, borehole and regional geological data, the location and activity of the fault are analyzed and discussed. The results show that the east branch of Anning river fault is a reverse fault trending NNE-SN and inclined to E.the Quaternary sedimentary layer with staggered buried depth of about 38m-42m is a concealed active fault with late Pleistocene activity. It is preliminarily estimated that its late Pleistocene sliding rate is 0.17mm/a.
