Geological Characteristics and Genesis of Kitota Manganese Deposit in Angola
The Lukala mineral right area in Angola is located in two iron and manganese metallogenic belt. The first is the iron-manganese metallogenic belt related to the formation of ferrosilicon in the ancient block of Archean and Proterozoic, namely the Khasingjia-Lukala iron-manganese belt. The second is the iron ore deposit related to basic-ultrabasic rocks in the rift zone on the west side of the ancient block, which is represented by MBASSA deposit. The manganese ore body located in Kitota mining area mainly occurs in Proterozoic cataclastic granite monzonite, cataclastic quartz monzonite and structural breccia, with various ore types. It is a filling vein industrial ore body formed in the fracture zone and the fracture zone on both sides after regional metamorphism and tectonic action, activation, migration and precipitation of manganese.
