Preliminary Study on the Determination of Total Sulfur in Sichuan Soil by Magnesium Nitrate Oxidation ICP-AES
Using an improved magnesium nitrate oxidation extraction method, the total sulfur content of three national soil reference materials(Sichuan soil)was determined by ICP-AES at a wavelength of 181.975 nm.The results showed that when the amount of magnesium nitrate solution added was 1.25 mL,the total sulfur in the soil could be better extracted, with high precision and accuracy, and the measurement results were consistent with the standard values. This method is simple to operate, has a short process,is more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, and has stable and reliable measurement results. It is suitable for the analysis of large-scale soil samples and can be applied to the determination of total sulfur in low sulfur soils in Sichuan.
