SiO2 aerogels have excellent properties such as low density,high porosity and large specific surface area.The forming principle,preparation method and application field of SiO2 aerogels are summarized.The effects of silicon source type,drying technology and hydrophobic modification technology on the properties of SiO2 aerogel were investigated.The existing problems and the future development trend of SiO2 aerogel are prospected.
