The Development of Carbon Market under Carbon Neutrality Goal and Its Inspiration for Chemical Enterprises
The carbon emission trading mechanism is an important policy tool to promote the achievement of carbon peak goals and carbon neutrality vision.With the proposal of the dual carbon target,the Chinese national carbon market was officially launched in July 2021.As one of the high energy consuming industries,electricity sector was covered by the national carbon market first.In 2023,as the second compliance period of the national carbon market comes to an end,other high energy consuming industries such as chemicals covered by national carbon market has also been put on the agenda.By sorting out the current development status of carbon emission trading markets both domestically and internationally,studying the development trend of Chinese carbon market,this paper analyzes and summarizes the current situation and problems of chemical enterprises of China participating in the carbon markets.Based on this,relevant suggestions are provided for chemical enterprises to participate in carbon trading,providing reference for them to prepare comprehensively and fully as soon as possible.
