Development and Validation of a Scale for Measuring Teachers'Acceptance of Generative Artificial Intelligence
To reveal the acceptance of generative artificial intelligence(Gen AI)among primary, secondary, and kindergarten teachers in China,a first-order,nine-factor scale for measuring teachers'acceptance of Gen AI was developed based on the AIDUA model. This process involved literature review, teacher interviews, expert revisions, item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis.Using this scale, the acceptance of Gen AI was preliminarily investigated among 955 primary, secondary, and kindergarten teachers. The findings indicate that while teachers have limited awareness and experience with Gen AI,they generally hold positive attitudes toward its use.The internal mechanism shaping teachers'intentions to use Gen AI appears to undergo three stages:cognitive appraisal, affective generation, and formation of behavioral intentions.Validation confirms that the scale possesses good reliability and validity, making it an effective tool for assessing teachers'acceptance of Gen AI.
