Measurement and convergence analysis of agricultural total factor productivity in Hebei Province under the constraint of carbon emission reduction
As a major agricultural province,the improvement of agricultural total factor productivity and the low-carbon and green transformation and development of agriculture are related to the development of Hebei Province's own economic system.The DEA-Malmquist index method was used to measure the agricultural total factor productivity of Hebei Province from 2013 to 2020 with or without carbon emission constraints,and the convergence of agricultural total factor productivity was measured and analyzed.The results show that carbon emissions will restrict the growth of agricultural total factor productivity.Technological progress plays a major role in promoting agricultural total factor productivity under carbon emission constraints.The agricultural total factor productivity of Hebei Province shows the convergence of the stable and balanced development of each city.Based on the conclusions of this study,some policy suggestions are put forward to promote the development of agricultural production in Hebei Province.
