Comparative Analysis on the Whole Genome Characteristics of A Newly Discovered High Pathogenic Vibrio mimicus Strain Derived from Shrimp
[Objective]The genome-wide characteristic analysis on Vibrio mimicus Y4 strain which causes red body disease in Japanese swamp shrimp were performed,to provide a reference for understanding the pathogenesis of the disease and controlling of outbreaks of such diseaseas.[Method]This study conducted preliminary comparative genomics studies on the Y4 strain and six other V.mimicus isolated from the different sources.[Result]The results showed that there was no obvious difference in the antibiotic resistance genes and tRNA quantity among the seven V.mimicus strains. The Y4 strain showed certain differences compared to other V.mimicus strains,in terms of genome size, number of coding genes, repeat sequence, and insertion sequence with significantly more insertion sequences in the IS3 family than other V.mimicus strains. The Y4 strain contained 11 unique virulence genes and related to a variety of virulence factors. The genome of the Y4 strain also contained the CRISPR sequence, indicating that the Y4 strain has acquired immune function against foreign virus genes.[Conclusion]This study explored the differences in V.mimicus strains from different sources by comparative genomics analysis, which provides some references for subsequent research on the biological functions and genomics of V.mimicus.
