Advances in Transcription Factors Regulation on Volatile Organic Compounds Biosynthesis of Plants
[Objective]To provide reference for further research and utilization of volatile organic com-pounds in plants.[Method]By reviewing the literature,we have systematically summarized the prog-ress made in recent years in the study of transcription factors that regulate the biosynthesis of volatile or-ganic compounds.[Result]Volatile organic compounds are the main components of the characteristic fragrance of plants, which are widely present in plants with abundant species and complex structures.Six types of transcription factors, including MYB,NAC,AP2/ERF,bHLH,bZIP and NAC,can regulate the accumulation of volatile organic compounds by regulating the expression of key genes in the biosyn-thetic pathways of these compounds.[Conclusion]This paper outlines the research progress on the types and structural characteristics of volatile organic compounds in plants, the important genes in the biosynthetic pathways of volatile organic compound synthesis pathway, and the molecular mechanisms of regulation by the six types of transcription factors, providing a prospect for further research in the field of volatile organic compounds.
