Research on the Impact of Agricultural Trade on Agricultural Carbon Emission Efficiency:Test Based on Provincial Panel Data
[Objective]To study the impact of agricultural trade on agricultural carbon emission effi-ciency,and to provide empirical evidence for the agricultural carbon emission reduction role of agricul-tural trade.[Method]Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2005 to 2021,the impact of agricultural trade on agricultural carbon emission efficiency and its spatial spillover effect were empiri-cally examined using the spatial Durbin model.[Result]① During the examined period, all provinces except Shanghai showed an obvious upward trend in agricultural carbon emission efficiency.According to the different change characteristics,30 provinces can be divided into three types:continuous increase, fluctuation increase and fluctuation decrease.② The development of agricultural trade promotes the effi-ciency of agricultural carbon emissions and exhibits significant positive spatial spillover effects at both the provincial and regional levels.③ Compared with agricultural exports, agricultural imports have a stronger role in promoting the improvement of agricultural carbon emission efficiency.④Compared with the central and western regions, the trade in agricultural products in the eastern region has a stronger role in promoting agricultural carbon emission efficiency.[Conclusion]Promote green trade in agricultural products, strengthen regional cooperation and exchange, improve the competitiveness of agricultural products in the international market, give full play to the promotion of agricultural trade in agricultural products to improve the efficiency of agricultural carbon emissions and the spatial spillover effect, and further stimulate and release the potential of agricultural import trade and agricultural carbon emission re-duction in the central and western regions.
