The Impact of Anemoside B4 on the Immunization Effect of Diphtheria Vaccine in Young Canines
[Objective]The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different levels of Ane-moside B4(AB4)on the immune response of healthy young canines after inoculation with canine distem-per and canine parvovirus,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical application of AB4 in ca-nine vaccines.[Method]In the experiment, thirty clinically healthy puppies aged 6 to 8 weeks were se-lected and randomly divided into a blank group(Group Ⅰ),a vaccine group(Group Ⅱ),and a vaccine+AB4 group(divided into low-,medium-,and high-dose AB4 subgroups, denoted as Group Ⅲ,Group Ⅳ,and Group Ⅴ),with 6 puppies in each group.According to the immunization schedule, the first injection of the combined vaccine for the puppies was recorded as D0,and a booster injection was given 14 days later, for a total of three immunizations. The clinical indicators such as body temperature, heart rate,re-spiratory rate, and body weight of each group of puppies at D0,D7,D14,D21,D28,D35,and D42 were observed and recorded, and the proliferation response of peripheral blood lymphocytes and the titer of antigen-specific antibodies were detected.[Result]①AB4 had no significant effect on body tempera-ture,heart rate, respiratory rate and other clinical indicators of canines(P>0.05).There was no signifi-cant difference in body weight and weight gain rate between the groups at the same time(P>0.05).②Dif-ferent doses of AB4 could significantly increase the proliferation activity of peripheral blood lymphocytes in a dose-dependent manner(P<0.05).③ AB4 could induce a significantly increase the titers of CDV and CPV antigen-specific antibodies(P<0.05),and the increase was dependent on the dose of AB4.[Conclusion]AB4 has no obvious clinical side effects on young canines'immunity. It can up-regulate the lymphocyte proliferation activity of canines, induce antibody secretion, and enhance the immune response of the bivalent vaccine to canines. It has the potential to be used as a vaccine adjuvant for young canines.
