Typical Modes and Inspirational Cases of Rural Tourism Driving Rural Revitalization
Rural tourism represents a principal driving force,a significant catalyst for the comprehensive pro-motion of rural revitalization.By means of a literature analysis, three typical modes of rural tourism-driven rural revitalization in China have been delineated and refined. These are the resource-driven,government-promoted,and collective-driven modes.Three villages in Hunan Province, namely Shuangyuan Village,Luotan Village, and Qingmiao Village, are selected as typical cases for comparison of practices and effectiveness under different driving modes.Three key insights emerge from the analysis of rural tourism driving rural revitalization in these villages.Firstly, the status of the villagers as the primary economic actors should be reinforced, and the collec-tive economy should be promoted.Secondly, the principle of market orientation should be upheld, and the rural brand should be shaped.Thirdly, the concept of industrial integration should be embraced, and the transforma-tion of the rural economy should be facilitated.
