The Course and Experience of the Communist Party of China in Cultivating the Spirit of Youth Struggle
Attaching importance to the cultivation of youth struggle spirit has always been the fine tradition and po-litical advantage of the CPC in promoting the great practice of revolution,construction,reform and rejuvenation.The CPC's cultivation of youth struggle spirit has generally gone through four historical periods:the period of new demo-cratic revolution in which young people are guided to struggle for"national independence and people's liberation",the period of socialist revolution and construction in which young people are called upon to struggle for"consolida-ting and developing the people's democratic power",the new period of reform and opening up and socialist moderni-zation in which young people are taught to struggle for"building socialism with Chinese characteristics",and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics that inspires young people to strive for"realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation".Over the past century years,the CPC has accumulated rich experience in the cultivation of youth struggle spirit,which can be summarized as follows:adhere to the overall guar-antee of the Party's leadership and ideological guidance,adhere to the same direction of serving the overall situation and youth development,adhere to the positive interaction between theoretical education and practical exercise,ad-here to the coordinated promotion of institutional construction and organizational empowerment,and adhere to the or-ganic combination of method innovation and environmental optimization.Based on the new journey of Chinese mod-ernization,the cultivation of the CPC's youth struggle spirit can only be achieved by fully grasping the historical ex-perience,strengthening historical self-confidence,enhancing historical initiative,and giving play to the joint efforts of the system,so that the majority of young people can always become a strong force in the struggle to promote the con-struction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation.
