The comprehensive arrival of the era of reading pictures has profoundly changed the cognitive way of young students,and also brought about profound changes in the teaching methods of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities.The continuous image gene of human beings,the existence of social images,the creation and dissemination of images empowered by technology and the educational function implied in images make the vi-sualization teaching of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities possible.Based on the new char-acteristics and expectations of young students in the picture-reading age,we should clarify the validity and limitation of visual images,improve the image literacy of ideological and political teachers,strengthen the construction of visual image resource library,identify the authenticity of visual images in the era of picture-reading,and construct the quality evaluation system of image education,so as to effectively promote the visualization teaching of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities.
