The Centennial History,Main Theoretical Propositions and Recent Struggle Practice of the Communist Youth League of Canada
The youth group is a political force that cannot be ignored in the international communist movement.The Communist Youth League of Canada founded in 1923 is a youth organization with Marxism-Leninism as its guiding ideology,and it will celebrate its centennial development history in 2023.Over the past hundred years,under the leadership and support of the Communist Party of Can-ada,the Communist Youth League of Canada has persisted in taking Marxism-Leninism as its ideo-logical weapon and taking the realization of socialism and communism as its struggle goal.It advo-cates breaking and correcting the ideological confusion and wrong understanding of communism in Western society.It believes that capitalism is unsustainable and will be replaced by socialism in the future.It emphasizes that the realization of socialism will truly benefit the broad masses of the people and bring about genuine democracy,freedom,equality and solidarity.It also believes that building so-cialism in Canada is a gradual process,unable to be accomplished in an action.The organization works to combine political debate with struggle action,calling for a stronger and more united youth and student movement.At present,the Communist Youth League of Canada puts priority to partici-pating in the domestic youth struggle for democracy,actively carries forward the spirit of internation-alism,and strives to make its own contribution in the practice of internationalist youth struggle.Its theory and proposition deserve our attention.
