Thought Context and Reading Discussion:Teaching Reform Practices in History of Western Political Thought
The history of Western political thought is an important part of political science,which goes through stages of establishment,damage,restoration and prosperous development.The history of Western political thought is also one of the core courses or basic courses for political science majors.Its teaching content is mainly a variety of political thoughts in Western countries,and it has histori-cal,complex,systematic,speculative and overlapping characteristics.Influenced by textbooks and teaching contents,teachers in the current teaching of the history of Western political thought may en-counter challenges such as a long history,lack of resonance with the era,a variety of course contents,difficulty in reasonably mastering the course progress,a strong sense of subject speculation,and cer-tain restrictions on discipline development.Therefore,teachers should transform their teaching con-cepts,introduce new teaching methods,perfect the curriculum framework.Therefore,teachers should change their educational concept,introduce new teaching methods,perfect the curriculum framework and integrate the curriculum and reading discussion.At the same time,teachers should combine theo-ry with practice,make foreign things serve China and make the past serve the present,so as to gradu-ally improve the teaching quality of the history of Western political thought.
