Clinical observation of alendronate sodium assisted calcium carbonate D3 tablets in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with osteoporosis
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of alendronate sodium and calcium carbonate D3 tablets in the treatment of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with osteoporosis.Method:Ninety-five elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with osteoporosis in our department were divided into two groups from February 2021 to February 2022.Except for basic treatment such as blood sugar control,in the control group 47 patients received oral calcium carbonate D3,and 48 patients in the observation group received oral calcium carbonate D3 plus alendronate sodium.After continuous treatment for 1year,Clinical efficacy,serum hormone levels,bone mineral density,bone metabolism indexes and drug safety were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of 93.75%(45/48)in the observation group was higher than that of 78.72%(37/47)in the control group.Compared with before treatment,the bone density of 25-hydroxyvitamin D,Wards triangle,femoral trochote,femoral neck and lumbar vertebrol in each group increased significantly.The levels of parathyroid hormone,β-collagen fragment,osteocalcin,and bone alkaline phosphatase were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the change values in observation group were higher than those in control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in ADR between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Calcium carbonate D3 tablets combined with alendronate sodium can effectively regulate serum hormone levels,bone mineral density and bone metabolism indexes in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with osteoporosis,and it is safe and effective.
