Application of deproteinized calf blood extract ophthalmic gel in small incision removal of senile hardcore cataract
Objective:To study the effect of deproteinized calf blood extract eye gel in small incision removal of senile hardcore cataract.Methods:152 patients(152 eyes)with senile sclerotic cataract treated in our hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects. The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group,76 cases each. The control group was operated with small incision, and the observation group was treated with eye gel of deproteinized calf blood on the basis of control group. The visual acuity, anterior chamber inflammatory response and corneal endothelial cell related parameters of the two groups were analyzed and compared before and 1 and 8 weeks after surgery. The visual acuity was measured by standard visual acuity scale, and the corneal endothelial cell related parameters were measured by SP-1P non-contact corneal endothelial cell meter. Results:The corrected visual acuity of the observation group at 1 week and 8 weeks after operation was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The atrial inflammatory response was less than that of control group 1 week after surgery(P<0.05).The central corneal thickness was higher than that before surgery, but the proportion of hexagonal cells and the density of corneal endothelial cells were significantly lower than before surgery. The central corneal thickness at 8 weeks after surgery was significantly lower than that at 1 week after surgery, the proportion of hexagonal cells and the density of corneal endothelial cells were significantly higher than that at 1 week after surgery. The central corneal thickness of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group one week after surgery, while the proportion of hexagonal cells and the density of corneal endothelial cells were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Calf blood deproteinized eye gel can improve corneal endothelial cell parameters in small incision for senile scleral cataract extraction.
