Value analysis of combined transvaginal and abdominal ultrasonography in early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy
Objective:To explore the application of combined transvaginal and abdominal ultrasonography in the early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.Methods:207 suspected ectopic pregnancy patients admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to May 2023 were analyzed retrospectively.Laparoscopy is the gold standard. All patients were examined by vaginal and abdominal ultrasonography alone or in combination. The detection rate, ultrasound image and intraperitoneal mass of the three methods were compared.Results:135 of 207 suspected ectopic pregnancies were confirmed by laparoscopy. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of transvaginal and abdominal ultrasonography were higher than those of transvaginal and abdominal ultrasonography(P<0.05).The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of transvaginal ultrasonography were higher than those of transabdominal ultrasonography(P<0.05).The detection rates of appendicular mass, yolk sac, germ and pelvic effusion were higher than those of transvaginal ultrasonography and transabdominal ultrasonography(P<0.05).The detection rates of adnexal mass, yolk sac and germ were higher than those of transvaginal ultrasonography(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combined examination of transvaginal ultrasonography and abdominal ultrasonography can effectively make up for the shortcomings of transvaginal ultrasonography and abdominal ultrasonography, and effectively improve the diagnostic efficiency and detection rate.
